Metro United Way partners across the region are doing everything they can to help people and their organizations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Goodwill Industries of Kentucky furloughed its store workers for weeks, but MUW’s Advancing Cities program, powered by JP Morgan Chase, has helped lift some of its employees up.

Advancing Cities provides free job training, financial coaching, and other resources to individuals in selected neighborhoods and zip codes. Goodwill Industries identified its employees within those neighborhoods and helped get them involved during their temporary unemployment.
